My Conn C Mel

Postby JonF on Sat Mar 28, 2009 5:47 pm

Well, I've posted a few messages about how I've adapted my C Mel to be comfortable for me and make the sound I want. Basically, I've added an Aquilasax curved neck to allow me to jam a long modern tenor mouthpiece on and play in tune, and bodged a rather odd fitment to take care of the fact that the sling ring is in the wrong place for good balance. The sax also has a full set of new steel-reflector pads and new springs and corks througout. I use a rather extreme Berg Larsen duckbill 120/0 tenor mouthpiece. It roars.

Anyway, here's a pic of how it looks in fighting trim. When I get my Zoom H2 I'll post a recording of it as well.
